Glued: Paris Fashion Week 2011
This week has be delicious to say the least. Paris Fashion week 2011 has been a pinncle event this year with Kate Moss smoking on the Louis Vuitton runway, and Mui Mui’s line of vintage inspired clothes and beautiful accessories to match. This year was the celebration of times gone, florals, art, colour and the 70s look.
Andrej Pejic modelled for Jean Paul Gaultier, in one of the season’s key pieces. Some of you may have heard of this wonderful human, if not then you better look him up! He’s one of the most notable models who can model both male and female design’s flawlessly. I remember reading about him on Vogue.com during London Fashion week a/w 2011 updates. He is seen below in what I would call ‘my almost perfect wedding dress’ designed by Gaultier. He is stunning, but he is the only human version of what an angel could look like – minus the wings.
This year’s trends seriously sky rocketing, especially with new designers. Fashion had up-scaled contemporary to va va voom from, crotcheted pieces that inspire that vintage look, gender play, nostalgia, Mary Jane’s, pleats and the celebration of McQueen.
Many star rolled up and down the catwalks from Kate Moss to Lady Gaga. I love fashion! It comes very high on my list of ‘life qualities’. Most witches love herbs, and get turned on my bath time spells. I’m in zen with meditation and fashion… well… in awe actually! Who knows? If this nursing gig doesn’t work out well… I’m off to Paris full time! Maybe I should design new ritual dress too…
