Inspirations

There are many things that inspire me in everyday life, but the number one thing most people don’t know is that I take my way of living very seriously. As detailed slightly in the ‘About Moi’ section, I’m a vegetarian, a little activist and I’m a Pagan. So, to detail some other features about me, and to expand a little more on the witchy aspect I’ll show you some of my inspirations.

Ma Vie Moderne

I add the witchy aspect to my fashionable living. One of the tenants I live by as a witch is ‘Harm none’, which basically means do whatever the hell you want, live the way you want, but do so in a respectful manner for other people, the world, animals and especially for yourself. So I use that as a means for my fashion and beauty. I try to buy Fair trade items, make my own items from fabric, herbs etc. And I try not to buy or own fur, it has to be faux!

Musique et Mode

The title says it all, but look up Vice magazine and website to peek into the mind that is mine. POP magazine is where I go for my fashion ideas. Kitsune Maison is a fashion and music label. I will blog a lot about them, as they combine two of my greatest loves, House/Electro and French/British/Japanese fashion!

Culture

I’m a super mixed baby! Mainly Jamaican and Spanish, with French, Scottish, Arawak Indian and Irish blood. Yup, I’m an expensive cocktail. I live in SE England, and I dream of living in Brighton, Paris and anywhere in Germany. I’m in love with a man from Belgium, so every now and then my weekend getaways will consist of lots of travel. I speak a few languages, but I get shy, so writing is easier for me. I speak French, English, Patois and German. I’m currently teaching myself Japanese, Dutch and Italian. I like to have that French vibe of ‘simple is more’ in my clothes, with an old English twist of 40s glamour with a modern Victorian twist.

My Body

I look at magazines, TV, film and other women and think my body is just another one. I don’t like to compare myself with others, though most people I meet are seriously hot. I do my best with my body. I eat fairly well, my exercise like a crazy-lazy person by doing Yoga and dance. I like to self medicate in small doses with my herbal tinctures, and homemade herbal pills – now that’s part of the witch in me, and my recent love for Ayurvedic medicine. When I feel down, I look at my boobs, no one has these.

Words

I love books, magazines, blogs and anything else that have words in or on that I can’t think of right now. I love to write myself, and one day, if this nursing degree doesn’t quite come around I’ll dedicate my life to what I do best, writing! I would love to write for newspapers or magazines… I can’t function without ELLE, Vogue or Marie Claire in my bag sitting with my Amazon Kindle. As a witch, I have a Little Black Book in my bag which I write prayers and spells in too.
